{Recipe} Chocolate Chip Macaroon Cookies

Okay, not much of a "recipe" since it uses one of my favorite Thrive products - Macaroon Cookie
Mix. The mix itself is just add water and in minutes you have super delicious Macaroon Cookies {if you haven't tried Macaroon's before they are a yummy coconut cookie}. I am loving playing with my Macaroon mix and adding in "extras" to come up with combinations that my family loves. This time it was chocolate chips.

To make up One batch of 12-18 Cookies depending on size

  • Preheat oven to 350 F
  • Mix 3 1/4 cups Macaroon Cookie Mix with 1/2 cup boiling water. Stir well and let sit for a few minutes.
  • Now add in your chocolate chips. I used about 1/2 cup... you could use more or less. Mix
  • Drop dough by the spoonful onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

These cookies are delicious enough you'll want them often and you can! What I
also love is that I can have them way down the road if I keep them tucked away. The Macaroon cookies have a shelf life of 20 years unopened and 1 year once you do open it up. I know that when I started into food storage my main worries were stocking up on rice, beans, wheat and dry milk. Staples. However, a very good friend of mine has shared how important having comfort foods are to your food storage plans.
